2020 Event FAQ

 

In the interest of public health and safety the Kerrville Chalk Festival has cancelled the street painting event for this year.  

The Festival will take place on October 16 – 17, 2021

Free event: The Festival is free to the public for all to experience and enjoy!

Beneficiary: The 2020 beneficiary is The Hill Country Arts Foundation.

Weather: The event will be held, rain or shine.

Festival hours: 10 am – 5 pm on Saturday and 10 am – 4 pm on Sunday.

Maps and Information: Information and onsite signage will be available at all throughout the Festival.

Food and Beverages: There will be food vendors on site and several restaurants in downtown area that are within walking distance. Please do not bring glass containers onsite.

Lost Children: For assistance with lost children please go to the Volunteer Tent and notify event staff immediately.

Lost and Found: Found items that are turned in will be secured at the Volunteer Tent. Please check there if you have lost a possession.

Pets: Absolutely no animals. You may bring your service dog with appropriate paperwork. We respectfully ask that all other pets be left at home.

Rest Rooms: Portable facilities will be located onsite and there is a public restroom on the south side of Water Street between Sidney Baker and Earl Garrett Streets.

Parking: Street parking is available outside of Festival grounds, including the free downtown parking garage on the corner of Sidney Baker and Water Street. The downtown garage has ADA parking on the 3rd floor and attendees can utilize the covered crosswalk and elevator to reach Peterson Plaza.

ATM Machines: Cash machines are within a short walking distance throughout the downtown Kerrville area.

For the safety and enjoyment of all Festival attendees, please observe the following rules:

  • Smoking is not permitted inside any structure or in any seating area on the Festival grounds.
  • The riding of skateboards, bikes, or use of roller blades or roller shoes within the site is prohibited.
