The tradition of street painting dates to the 16th century when artists would transform the streets and public squares into temporary art galleries. Although their street paintings lasted only until the next rain, the tradition has endured for more than 400 years.
The Kerrville Chalk Festival is scheduled for October 14 – 15, 2023.
