Kerrville Chalk Festival was conceived as a family-oriented event for the entire Texas Hill Country Community. The Festival is held on Peterson Plaza in the heart of Kerrville to raise funds for nonprofit organizations.
2020 Recipient: The Hill Country Arts Foundation (HCAF) is center for the
arts that promotes education and community involvement. Through classes, workshops, exhibitions, camps, and stage productions, people come together to learn and develop skills in the arts.

The Festival presents both guest and local artists, youth, and the general public an opportunity for artistic expression and a venue to create chalk art.
The event brings people together downtown, encourages dining, and shopping in the area. Hotels in Kerrville will also benefit from visiting artists and Festival attendees.
The event provides businesses and groups with an opportunity to promote their brand by sponsoring a square at this highly visible event. It also provides organizations a team experience as they may work together to create a work or art or to volunteer as a group.
