Kerrville Chalk Festival was conceived as a family-oriented event for the entire Texas Hill Country Community. The Festival is held on Peterson Plaza in the heart of Kerrville to raise funds for nonprofit organizations.
The 2019 Festival benefits Our Lady of the Hills High School (OLH) which is a regional co-educational high school, committed to providing a quality college preparatory education to students from all social, ethnic, and economic backgrounds.
The 2018 Festival benefits the Museum of Western Art which is dedicated to the excellence of the collection, preservation, and promotion of Western Heritage and the education and cultural enrichment of our diverse audiences.
The Festival presents both guest and local artists, youth, and the general public an opportunity for artistic expression and a venue to create chalk art.
The event brings people together downtown, encourages dining, and shopping in the area. Hotels in Kerrville will also benefit from visiting artists and Festival attendees.
The event provides businesses and groups with an opportunity to promote their brand by sponsoring a square at this highly visible event. It also provides organizations a team experience as they may work together to create a work or art or to volunteer as a group.
